Rock icon and filmmaker Rob Zombie collaborates with Waxwork Records to unveil “Rob Zombie Presents,” an exclusive line of classic Horror movie soundtracks. This release is the chilling “Rob Zombie Presents SPIDER BABY” Original Motion Picture Soundtrack by Ronald Stein, featuring a 1967 American Horror film directed by Jack Hill. This deluxe album offers the complete soundtrack on vinyl for the first time, along with exclusive interviews, marbled colored vinyl, new artwork by Graham Humphreys, and more.
Expanding their successful collaboration, Zombie and Waxwork Records dig into classic, left-of-center Horror soundtracks, delivering premieres of titles like White Zombie, Carnival Of Souls, The Last Man On Earth, and selections from the HAMMER film library. This exclusive collection promises a unique auditory journey into the realms of cult Horror cinema.
“I have always been a huge fan of movie soundtracks. So I jumped at the opportunity to work with Waxwork on this project.” Says Zombie, “I can’t wait to release these albums. So many of these films are greatly under appreciated and, they all contain such great music. So, to be able to release these deluxe packages is a dream come true.“ – Rob Zombie
Accompanying the 1967 American Horror film directed by Jack Hill and featuring Lon Chaney Jr., Jill Banner, Beverly Washburn, and Sid Haig, the soundtrack brings an auditory dimension to the film’s cult-followed originality, dark humor, and twisted narrative revolving around a dysfunctional family of mentally-regressive orphaned siblings with homicidal tendencies.
This deluxe album offers an immersive experience, presenting the complete soundtrack by Ronald Stein on vinyl for the first time. The package includes an exclusive interview by Rob Zombie with director Jack Hill and Spider Baby actress Beverly Washburn, a 180-gram Blue & Green Marbled colored vinyl, captivating new artwork by Graham Humphreys, deluxe old-style tip-on gatefold packaging, a 12″x12″ booklet featuring photos from director Jack Hill’s personal archive, a 12″x12″ art insert, and more.
Building on their successful collaboration with releases like the official soundtracks to Zombie’s films such as House of 1000 Corpses, The Devils Rejects, 3 From Hell, The Lords of Salem, Halloween 1 & 2, and The Munsters, Rob Zombie and Waxwork Records extend their partnership to unearth, re-master, and release classic, left-of-center Horror soundtracks from films that have inspired Zombie throughout his life. The collection is characterized by deluxe packaging, heavyweight colored vinyl, new artwork by prominent Horror illustrator Graham Humphreys, and liner notes and interviews conducted by Rob Zombie with filmmakers and actors.
