Who Are HalloweenCostumes.com?

HalloweenCostumes.com has a brilliant story behind it. It all started back in 1992 in Mankato, Minnesota, when sisters Julie and Lisa Fallenstein began renting out costumes their mum had handmade out of the family garage. What began as a small local rental shop called Costumes Galore grew steadily over the following decade, and by 2001 the family had taken things online.

From there, the growth has been remarkable. What started with a handful of costumes crammed into a walk-in closet has turned into the largest Halloween Costume retailer in the world, now carrying thousands of costumes, props, and accessories, including a huge line of handmade animatronics, that we are proud to now be stocking!

They’ve built their reputation on variety and quality, from officially licensed movie characters to their own in-house designs, and over the years that’s extended well beyond costumes into full-size animatronics and props that have become sought-after in the horror and Halloween community.

The range of animatronic cater to pretty much every type of Halloween fan, from casual decorators putting a few pumpkins on the porch to serious haunters building full walk-through experiences, and everyone in between. Their prop and animatronic lines in particular have built up a loyal following in the US over the years, and we’re now happy to bring stock to EU fans too!

What We’ve Got In

One of the standout arrivals is the range of Beetlejuice animatronics, giving you the chance to recreate some of the most iconic scenes in horror-comedy history right in your own home. The Beetlejuice animatronic turns up with two outfits choices, complete with that unmistakable green hair and ghoulish grin, while Barbara and Adam Maitland join him looking suitably worse for wear, with Barbara’s jaw unhinged and Adam’s face turned inside out.

Also arriving are Spikey and Rudy, two more animatronics pulled straight from the 1988 cult classic Killer Klowns from Outer Space. Rudy comes dressed in his purple, red and black striped suit with a frilled collar, ray gun in hand, while Spikey brings his slim, sharp-featured look to life in his green, star-covered outfit, twisting up a balloon animal just like the balloon bloodhound he used to hunt down the film’s leads.

Three icons from the Ghostbusters franchise are also on their way: Slimer, floating and shrieking in classic form; a fully detailed Proton Pack, ready to sling over your shoulder; and a snarling Terror Dog, the demonic creature that guarded Dana’s apartment in the first film.
